The adga should remain serving the interests of the anchorage area. If you'd like to Change it, run for office and propose a by-law change. Remember that it will have to be approved by a 2/3s majority vote by current members in attendance. There is no reason a statewide organization can't be organized/established. As a two year member of the adga I will not be quiet and walk away from the capital the anchorage area has contributed. If you do not want to honor the by laws or have belief that we will support a change; do not run or accept office. The name is irrelevant it was available at the time. Wether you'd had self serving interests when accepting board positions or not. Your obligation is to the anchorage area as an officer. Accept it or do more work In your own region.
