can you explain why cashless pre reg is no longer used for tournies I know you were one of the first ones to do away with it? why would you care if someone didnt show? cashless pre reg in my opinion was the best thing about the disc golf scene .
Because when my events full and then 20% don't show up and nobody else shows up because I appear full I then lose money. Same with all of the clubs that had it and now no longer use it. If everyone showed up when they said they would then I am sure people would still allow it
The goal for every TD should be to 1. Provide a fun tournament experience for the player. 2. Generate cash for their organization. I think I do both quite well. If that offends you or anyone, I don't apologize.
Wow. Some people are so inconsiderate. I couldn't agree more with you Mark; if people don't have to pay ahead of time they won't show up, and of course you lose money. Nobody wants to lose money, so I'm not seeing what Darren doesn't understand about that. It's not about the money entirely, it's about being a good tournament director and providing a good time for everyone involved.

Nope. That is a thing of the past for most tournaments. All of the no shows, no calls ruined that. It was about a 20% rate

I think Zam was referring to people that cashless per-reg and then don't show are inconsiderate. At least that is what I took from it.
