Are you going to cut any trees down on a few holes or was the course designed as a thumber course , I played the other day and saw numerous holes with no glide in points for throws . Hole 7 needs trees removed

Thank you Jordan, you have been an immense help already. Thad, we have been cutting all the dead stuff out and some of the pencil trees (3" or less). Edan, Louis, myself, and several others working on the renovation continue to play the course and trim where we see trouble spots. The last thing we want to do is take too many trees out, so a little at a time. We will not cut the soul out of PC. A fair amount of local players and park users of expressed concern that we would cut too many trees. Thus, we are maintaining a delicate balance. This is a work in progress, and as you know Thad with Hilltop, it takes time.

When I posted this thread this morning, my hope was to receive positive support and vested interest in working toward our goal to have this course ready for States. So please, if you have an issue or safety concerns, PM me, Edan, or Louis, and we will try to address your concern. Thank you.

I thought that I would take the time and respond to some of your complaints about PC. Let me first start with letting you all know that the Alaska Disc Golf Association has meetings every month. In these meetings we plan out the year and discuss course improvements. We have had many discussion with the new layout @ PC and have staked it out multiple times this winter/spring. I would like all of you to participate in the discussion. Internet whining is a little to late in the construction phase. Hole 7 needs trees removed" Oh Heavens_2_Murgatroyd, Yes we will be removing some trees from hole 7 but not as many as some would like. It is a dog leg and a golf shot that adds character to a course."I won't play competitively there until there are a few more improvements made" That's a bummer Josh but a little late again. I am sorry we do not have your blessing of the course. I hope I will see you at the next work party and we maybe able to address some of your concerns. I hope this honesty on my part will not hurt your feelings. The moral to this all is......... If you would like to be part of the outcome, you have to be willing to participate in the planning and execution phases of the project. Thanks Brian

I didn't think my statement of not wanting to play there competitively until more improvements were made would get under anyone's skirt, but as it is, pc is not a course I frequent. I've offered equipment to lend and will always help at any local course or as my busy schedule permits. As far as work parties go I've done a bit as once again time permits. I helped with hilltop and have volunteered to aid with a hole or two at Kincaid. I take it upon myself to take care of service as well. Please don't insinuate that because I wasn't at any of the pc work parties I'm just an inactive member of the community bxtching. -josh
