Hey all...regarding PC give us time for preparation at Kincaid we are making a big push at PC this weekend. On Fri. we have some power equipment rented through the weekend (a Bobcat skid steer and a wood chipper). We will be finishing tee pad prep for the concrete pour, chipping dead wood and removed trees and branches. The tee pads need to be graveled, tamped, and meshed. We have a truck to move the chipper around the course. We will be able to chip most of the wood on the needed fairways. Please make an effort to come out and help. Text me 207-577-6003 to let me know what general times you can make it out there so we can plan accordingly. A big THANK YOU to volunteers who have helped up to this point. There has been much progress made, and we still have a bit to go. But I am confident with a strong push this weekend, we can get most of the course done, leaving only the concrete pour mid week as the final stage. Thank you again and truly hope to see you all out there..... AK

Are you going to cut any trees down on a few holes or was the course designed as a thumber course , I played the other day and saw numerous holes with no glide in points for throws . Hole 7 needs trees removed

Thank you Jordan, you have been an immense help already. Thad, we have been cutting all the dead stuff out and some of the pencil trees (3" or less). Edan, Louis, myself, and several others working on the renovation continue to play the course and trim where we see trouble spots. The last thing ... more

When I posted this thread this morning, my hope was to receive positive support and vested interest in working toward our goal to have this course ready for States. So please, if you have an issue or safety concerns, PM me, Edan, or Louis, and we will try to address your concern. Thank you.

I thought that I would take the time and respond to some of your complaints about PC. Let me first start with letting you all know that the Alaska Disc Golf Association has meetings every month. In these meetings we plan out the year and discuss course improvements. We have had many discussion wi ... more

I didn't think my statement of not wanting to play there competitively until more improvements were made would get under anyone's skirt, but as it is, pc is not a course I frequent. I've offered equipment to lend and will always help at any local course or as my busy schedule permits. ... more

What hole / holes would you to sponsor at Kincaid for States? I will add you name to the list.

Thad Murgatroyd   July 8, 2013 at 3:20am

I would be happy to come out and cut down the trouble trees I saw blocking fair and challenging lines. I am not out to "gut the heart of pc" but if you take the time to read a Jim Houck book on course design luck should not be the determining factor on whether your disc can glide in. The t ... more

No thanks, volunteered to help a friend with his hole he volunteered for. No need to have my name on a list, and I'm out for states. Helping just to help
