I feel ya Adin, totally understand what ur sayin. I know a good amount of us 'Backs showed up for a few good cause tourneys this season (Ice Bowls, CGDG Classic, etc.), but I agree, I'd like to see us come together as a crew, and show some support as a club. I'm very seriously thinking about putting together a small something that every 'Back should want to be a part of. More to come on that soon.

Adin, I dont think any "silverbacks?" came to the ace run? Except maybe Alvin. And he had a hard time finding a ride. Please correct me if i'm wrong? And just so you know, we collected donations(discs, minis, bags, etc.) for the Lake Oswego High Disc Golf Club.(if that's not helping the sport, I don't know what is.) I'm not sure how our ace run is affiliated with this... run on sentence. But thanks? The first Legacy Ace Run in the Northwest... a dime a dozen?

I love the passion being shown on this thread! It's obvious that we all love this sport, and are committed to its development in many ways. We all have our personal opinions as to what drives us, but I feel like we all have a common goal in mind...to foster the development of Disc Golf, and to have a deeper meaning in doing so. Agro, sorry more of us 'Backs didn't make it out to Timber, to hukk with u out there, ditto to those AWESOME PEEPS puttin on the Dub Debris! Dan, u and DGOD have done much to spread the love of this sport all across the Portland Metro area, and I'm sure u will continue to do so! Andy, keep HUKN and reppin us 'Backs like the STUD U ARE HOMIE!!! Much love to u all!!

I agree with You Adin. Disc golf clubs can be fun although I feel that the the purpose has been more focused on winning money, swag and being a reputable player int the community. I dont feel that Adin was trying to disrepect any clubs (DGOD), he was just trying to say that ace race tournies are very common in all states and that there are not nearly enough fund raising tourneys where people show up to play without the mindset of helping others out instead of themselves. I live in Denver and was part of the Ice bowl series for 15 weeks where I donated ten dollars a week to play disc golf with 50-60 other golfers where we raised over $15,000 for the local foodbank. Now this is what I call a sense of community. So stop getting all offended when someone says Ace races are a dime a dozen BS becasue they actually are. This is why I only play in non prifit tourneys because the self gratification is far greater than any trophy or script I could win after spending more to play in the tourney then what I would get out of it for winning first place.
