Yes, the Fairmont Design process is still underway.
As you'll see below, Adam Johnson has been added to the schedule. As of right now there are still openings for YOU to display a course concept YOU created (see list & information below).
The temporary signs marking general Tee & Basket locations are very visible (brightly colored) and will be in place all week of each week. Please find some free time each week to go check out each week's concept. (Note, please remember this is a design process so fairways may be very rough in places... )

there are things that I like and dislike about both layouts to date. There will probably be things that I like and dislike about the final chosen layout. What are we trying to accomplish here? Are we to find the most popular layout, then discuss variations on that layout? Or are we identifyling what we like best about each layout then try to incorporate these popular details into a mash up for the final layout? I only ask because I see the latter being a capacius undertaking.
We had a meeting a few weeks ago and arrived at this as the best way we could think of to try out different ideas. If no particular layout is favored by consensus, we will seek consensus on particular holes and then see what holes from other layouts can be made to work with them. It could require a bit of negotiation, but I think we'll arrive at something good.
I have nothing but 100% faith in yall

I just sent you my e-mail through a private message.

I can also shed some light on the plan. The "negotiation" Jon speaks of will take place in our standard meeting location (Manhattan Pub. Library) after all layouts have been displayed on-site. This meeting date has not yet been set, but all DFOK players will be encouraged to attend. I can describe the meeting format in greater detail if needed. After we (disc golfers) have a preferred layout agreed upon, we will then submit it to Riley Co. for their review & adjustments (if any).
In addition to designing this expansion, weu2019re also going to need to raise some fund$ for this project, plus have a few work days to help Riley Co. with construction/clean-up needsu2026 Stay tuned for more detailed information.
Dimond, Glad you chimed in on the Fairmont Park project. It would be great if you have time to put together a design (or help in any way).
Yeah it is pretty cool seeing this take shape! Do you have a map of the first layout? Unfortunately, I can't remember most of it. I just did a design but I am going to go to Fairmont this evening to tweak it before I submit it.
Dimond, If you plan to get involved to the level of creating a layout & reserving a week, we need to get you hooked up with our DFOK Planning Google Group. That's where the heavy duty planning & documents are being posted. Plus, you will want to attend the our DFOK meeting when we summarize all proposed layouts, then create our hybrid layout (Hint to Jon).
