The disc golf course at the Van Buren State Park has been upgraded from 9 holes to 18. The layout has been compressed so there is not as much walking between holes but you will still walk 1.5 miles to play a complete round. Most of the holes are between 200 and 300 feet. There are 6 holes between 300 and 400 feet. The 2 shortest holes require a throw through an opening cut through the woods over a ravine to a basket on the other side. Tees are natural but each tee has a sign showing distance, par and layout. Roads, paved parking lots and the lake provide opportunity for the disc to go out of bounds on many of the holes.
