Mayors Award for Disc Golf - Tues, Aug. 2nd at 7pm - 1101 Poyntz Ave.
I apologize if this comes across as Mark and I just self promoting, patting ourselves on the back, etc. We decided to accept this award because we thought it would improve our chances of getting the "next nine" rolling at Warner Park.
More specifically, our reason for posting this on DiscGolfScene.com is to try to get as many disc golfers as possible to attend this meeting to show their support for Disc Golf in Warner Park. We have a good thing going right now, with all the right people on board, so we want to use this positive momentum to our advantage and get the Warner Park "next nine" approved ASAP.
So, I hope to see you at this weeks Manhattan City Commission Meeting, which will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 2nd at 1101 Poyntz Avenue (City Hall). The meeting starts at 7pm and Mark and I will receive the award just minutes after the meeting starts. IT WILL ONLY TAKE 30 MINUTES OR SO TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT. Just show up at approx. 6:50 +/-, set in the back of the room with the other disc golf supporters, set through the award presentation a few minutes later, then leave. If we get enough people there it will be very noticeable.
