Independence Lake to Open this Friday October 8th

Independence Lake Disc Golf Course will re-open to the public on Friday October 8th. The park is open from 8am to dusk throughout the fall and winter. The course - officially named the "Red Hawk" and unofficially referred to as the "Chuck D" - will feature 18 holes with three teepads per hole. The black layout is the most challenging. The black layout will have 18 concrete tee pads that measure 6'x12'. The white layout is the medium difficulty and will feature concrete pads that measure 5'x10'. The red layout is the shortest for newer players and will have natural teepads. The red layout is a work in progress and feedback is welcome.

The Local 101 Disc Golf Players Union would like to thank Independence Lake County Park, Washtenaw County Parks and Recreation and the taxpayers (!!) for this beautiful addition to the Ann Arbor area disc golf courses.
