Because of severe storm damage to the Ottawa Disc Golf Course last Friday afternoon, the Ottawa Disc Golf League played tonight at Van Buren State Park. Several players, myself included, have been without electricity in their homes since last Friady. This and the July 4th holiday week may have contributed to the very low attendance tonight.
Andrew Blankemeyer and Tom McManness tied for first place with Dennis Hills and Chad Andrews. Rather than resolve the tie by sudden death play, I chose to simply add the $8 that would have gone to the ace pool to the payout and paid each of the tied players $10.
We will continue to play at Van Buren State Park until the downed trees at the Ottawa Park have been removed and the course is once again playable.
