For the points leaderboard, here is the formula I came up with:
Everyone gets a point for showing up. After that, you get a point for every team that you beat.
Say 10 teams show up, the winning team will get 9 points for beating out the other nine teams, and 1 for coming out. So first place will receive 10 points. Second place will receive 9 points, third 8 points, etc etc.
Ties that are not broken all receive the same amount of points. That is determined at what the highest number of points award for a team in that place would be. Thus, using the same scenario as above, a three way tie for 5th place (out of 10 teams), each 5th place team would receive 6 points.
