Week 1 Recap

Week 1 of Tuesday Twos was a great success! We had 46 players and great weather.

Randy Hamlin and Justin Mann were the hot shooters for the night. They took a par on their first hole (9) and then ran off a string of seventeen straight birdies to finish -17 and narrowly missing out on the Next Adventure Perfect Round bounty. Great shooting guys!

Speaking of hot shooting, Jeff Larson had a pretty good night. He aced his second hole of the night (4) with a first run red Z-Breeze. He also aced his second to last hole of the night (1) with the same Breeze. In addition to the $44 ace pot, Jeff picked up a bounty for the first ace of the year (a first run BSF stamped Archon donated by Scott Hill), a CTP on hole 4 (Champion Roadrunner donated by Stumptown Disc Golf) and a CTP on hole 1 (Star SL donated by Rainy Day Games). And finally, both Jeff and his partner scored a $25 gift certificate to Next Adventure because the random ace hole of the night was hole 1. Not bad, Jeff. How are you going to top that next week? Jeff has already assured me that he will be gunning for aces in week two hoping to pick up the Rainy Day Games Triple Ace bounty.

In other CTP news: Jason Hicks parked hole 7 with a Soft Magnet and won a Vibram Summit putter donated by Jeff Larson and Clancy Adams was closest to hole 3 with his Viper and won a "Larson Suprise" (a baseball bat/pizza cutter) donated by Jeff Larson.

The secret score of the week was -12. Anthony Teach and Craig Neilson both picked up a coupon good for $5.00 off any disc at Rainy Day Games.

Thanks to our sponsors for week one: Next Adventure, Rainy Day Games, Stumptown Disc Golf, and Jeff Larson.

Thanks to everyone who game out for a great night of doubles. See you next week!
