I have to apologize to Steve and the rest, I may have mis-interpreted the question. Line of Play is always from your disc to the basket, regardless of any mandatory routes. That said, on this hole, if you choose to address the basket from your disc lie, you may find it really challenging to make it around the mandatory. Again, my apologies for any confusion.
