Each player throws and then the team decides which one to use on that hole after they are thrown. Then when someone reaches 9 tee shots or first throws used they no longer throw tee shots/ first throws.

No problem. Definitely still have to strategize and think about things like what is your finishing hole and do you need to 'save' a tee shot. But all in all it is about having fun and hanging out together on the disc golf course.
