Hello everyone!
As of now there is an over 50% chance of thunderstorms all day Saturday.
Because of this, we might have to reschedule the event.
How the pdga rules work is if there is only rain we are allowed to play per TD discretion. As long as I deem it safe/ fair to play then we will play, BUT if there is lightning I must stop everyone from playing until the lightning is out of the area for at least 30 minutes. The PDGA guidelines for this is no lightning strikes within 10miles for atleast 30 minutes before players can resume the tournament.
This would not be an issue if we only had suspected thunderstorms for say just the morning or just the afternoon, but as of now the thunderstorms are supposed to last all day per the weather app I am using.
---Here is the current plan, as of now the tournament is still happening. I will make the final call after sign ups close tomorrow on Friday at 12pm. So expect another email from me tomorrow around 12:30pm with the final decision to play/ reschedule the event.---
If we have to reschedule I will happily refund anyone who cannot/doesn't want to play on the new date that is chosen.
