“The longs don’t care how hot you were last week.”
After the birdie-fest at Alcantra shorts, Week 8 flipped the script. The league moved to Alcantra longs, and just like that, scoring tightened, mistakes multiplied, and every stroke had weight again.
This wasn’t about going low.
This was about surviving.
???? A Tier — Tom Takes Control
In a week where under par was hard to find, Thomas Voight stepped up and took the win with a composed -5.
Behind him:
Frank Costales — Even, grinding through a tough round.
Naz Munoz — +3, feeling the full effect of the long layout.
A-tier went from double digits under to fighting for every birdie. The course finally pushed back.
⚔️ B Tier — Foley Answers Again
Christopher Foley continues his strong run, matching A-tier’s top score with a -5 to take B-tier.
Right behind:
Aaron Richardson — -3, one of his better rounds of the cycle.
Adam Fogelman — -2
Matthew Person — -1
Scott Foster — Even
Scott Bowen — +2
Rodney Stepp — +3
B-tier handled the longs well overall, with several players beating the course.
???? C Tier — Still a Grind
Jerrin Fabrello — +3, continuing to lead the tier week after week.
Wilson Jennings — +11
Even without extreme weather, the long layout made every hole feel longer than it should.
❄️ D Tier — Rheannon Keeps Showing Up
Rheannon Fabrello — +11
Another week of grinding through the course, no matter the conditions.
????️ Week 9 Preview — Whispering Doakes
Next week, the league heads to Whispering Doakes.
And if history tells us anything…
It won’t be easy.
Tight lines.
Wind.
Punishment for every mistake.
Eight weeks down.
Two to go.
The final stretch is here — and Doakes is waiting.
