Correct, the only difference is par on 2 holes. Holes 12 and 17 will be a par 3 for MPO, MP40 and MA1, all other divisions will be a par 4. We tested this on Wednesday and the ratings were much better across all divisions. Whenever possible, I try to change the layout or par for the top propagators to even out the ratings calculations. Call it the “Randy effect”, it was Andy’s idea and it worked well.

For example, a -2 in the AM division is equal to EVEN in the Pro division.
Pro EVEN rated 931 while -2 rated 923.
Is there a different way this is beneficial for the AM layout?
Michael Knepp May 2Hole 12 is 458', Hole 17 is 476'; both holes have water hazards. They warrant being par 4 for lower-level AM divisions. Not sure why you are arguing this decision made by the TD of the event...
