Not a bad question,
PDGA number will give you a rating for your tournament round and is good through December. If you play tournaments without a PDGA number you’d pay the extra 15$ so it’ll pay for itself after 3-4 tournaments.

Oscar, thank you for your reply. It is only a 1 round event, the area has another reservation at 3pm. We are working to do a 18 hole pop-up course in the park later this year and may run a 2 round event then.
