“Spring says it’s here… the Valley says not yet.”
Week 2 of Dawn of the Chains proved that winter isn’t done with us. Snow still covered parts of the course, footing was sketchy, and with the long layout at Alcantra in play, every mistake felt twice as expensive. Scores stayed respectable, but nobody got away easy.
And with Whispering Goats up next, the calm may not last long…
???? A Tier — Justin Holds the Line on the Longs
The long layout didn’t slow down Justin Foster, who took the top spot with a strong -6, continuing the momentum he’s carried since the winter league.
Right behind him:
Dave Rector — -5, steady and dangerous as always.
Kelly Allen — -4, staying right in the mix early this cycle.
Allen Black — -3, after winning Week 1, still right near the top.
David Sramek — -1, grinding through the snow-covered fairways.
Naz Munoz — +1, a rare over-par round for Naz, showing how tough the longs played this week.
Even without wind, the snow and long pins made this one feel like mid-winter all over again.
⚔️ B Tier — Foley Finds His Rhythm
Christopher Foley put together one of the cleanest rounds of the day with a -5, taking the B-tier win and showing the consistency that keeps him near the top every cycle.
Behind him:
Adam Fogelman — -1, solid round on a tough setup.
Alex Strawn — +1, hanging in despite the conditions.
Wayne Danjin — +2
Scott Bowen — +2
Scott Foster — +5, fighting through a rough one but still in the hunt.
B-tier is already tightening up, and it won’t take much to flip the order.
???? C Tier — Snow Makes Every Shot Count
With the ground still frozen underneath the snow, skips were gone and distance control mattered more than ever.
Wilson Jennings — +4, leading the tier this week.
Damian Delgado — +5, close behind and improving each round.
❄️ D Tier — Still Fighting the Freeze
Rheannon Fabrello — +10, battling through another cold round.
The snow may be melting, but not fast enough to make things easy.
????️ Week 3 Preview — Whispering Goats
Next week we leave Alcantra and head to Whispering Goats.
If history says anything…
It’ll be windy.
It’ll be weird.
And scores will not look like they did this week.
Two weeks down.
Eight to go.
The chains are just getting warmed up.
