Hi all,
We’re just a week away from the AM Day Kick Off Celebration, and I’m excited to see you out there.
If you haven’t checked the caddie book yet, you can find it here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Ptt0fSzTCP5EhmmDItF_GoMyVEoGU7Nb/edit
Please make sure to read it carefully—you’re responsible for all the information included. Also, be sure to download the PDGA Live app to keep score during the event.
As of 3/20, we’re still monitoring Hole 19. It’s likely we’ll play the alternate layout (same as the 3/8 warm up) instead of Red to Yellow due to course conditions, but we’ll keep you updated. The caddie book currently has red to yellow, not the alternate. The video walkthrough on the AM day DGS has the alternate.
A quick note on refunds: I’ve been providing full refunds for drops while we still have a waitlist. If the waitlist clears and you decide to drop, I’ll need to follow PDGA refund standards since player pack items are tied to this event.
Starting holes are drafted and will be released early next week.
We had an awesome warm-up event on 3/8, and this event is shaping up to be even better!
New announcement:
We’ve opened a limited number of AM spots for Pro Day (3/29) if you’d like to take on Woodsy twice. A few caveats: this is a C tier, low cost, minimum value event for AMs—perfect if you’re looking to get rated rounds, enjoy a beautiful day outside, and test yourself on the same track as the pros. It’s not a substitute for the AM Kick Off, which is fully focused on the amateur experience with player packs, OTB East onsite, food vendors, and more. Pro Day is primarily geared toward the pros, but we’d be glad to have you join if you’re available.
You also will not get MDGT points for this event if you are already playing in the 3/28 AM kickoff day. We are allowing only one event to count so people do not double up on points. MA1 and FA1 are offered as placeholder for AMs. You do not need to be an MA1/FA1 player to come out and enjoy the track, all are welcome. Consolidating the divisions helps optimize potential PDGA points. There is a video walkthrough on the DGS page of the layout. It is more technical than distance.

If you ordered a shirt, I will have them available for pickup on 3/28 and 3/29 at Woodsboro.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
