A divisional side pot is an optional add on that you can choose when signing up. If you select this option, you will compete against others in your specific division for the money placed into that pot. So, if 3 people in a division sign up for it, then only those three will compete for it.
The top 25% of entrants in each division get paid, so if 4 or less enter, the pot goes to the player that has the best tournament score.
It is a fun way to have some side action and its similar to ace and CTP pots. But it is optional. You do not have to enter the divisional side pot to play in the tournament.
