No Leagues this weekend (3/21) as the one and only Ice Bowl will be happening at the legendary Westchester Lagoon. So get signed up and by some extra discs. If you want to feel like a champ, throw a hundred down on mulligans and see if you can be in a 8 person tie for first place at -18.
Wednesday Night Doubles is at Davis tonight! (3/18)! So only go to the goon for some lonely night golf.
Week 6 recap:
Started with 9 players, ended with 8. We really gotta start handing out these 888s. Finish your rounds folks!
Killian (-7) led the 3 person A pool with Adam (-5) right on his heels. Those were the only dudes without a single bogey. Very impressive (in my best project farm voice). Killian has now shot -7 in 5 of the 6 weeks he's played, so you know the score to beat if you want to take some of his money. The third A pool guy threw a turd of a round, but hey I birdied basket 3 both times through, so that was cool.
B Pool was won by Mr. Brown at E. He had 5 birdies and an equal number of plus strokes as well. Britton kept it close until the second half of the round and finished +3.
C pool finished 3 strokes apart from each other. Lukas took first and Travis 2nd. Each had a single birdie to their round (basket 1). Eli played on my card and I must have razed him just enough to give the other two a chance to pull ahead.
Even tho we played the short layout twice through, the "back 9" played a lot harder. 16 Birdies on holes 1-9 vs 11 on 10-18. Must be PTSD from when the back 9 long layout was in play, our brains tricked us into thinking we were playing the hard half. Nobody birdied baskets 2, 5, or 6.
See you at Davis on the 28th for some more tree hugging DG
