Hey Disc Golfers!
Thank you for choosing to play in Game of Thorns Doubles tomorrow at Creekside and Carter Park! This will be a fun day of doubles at 2 of NWA's best wooded courses!
Below are a few updates concerning the event. Please read them over and prepare to be at the players meeting at 8:30 at Creekside. Until then feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
Course Schedule
All players will play Creekside first and Carter Park 2nd. Round 1 will start at 9am at Creekside with a player's meeting at 8:30.
We will take an hour and a half lunch break between rounds and publish the round 2 starting time on Facebook, Disc Golf Scene, and via email.
Scoring
Players will keep score via the UDisc event, linked here (
https://udisc.com/events/game-of-thorns-doubles-7qe3AD/about). You must check in to UDisc and may do so anytime after midnight tonight. We can help you at player check in tomorrow morning if needed.
Starting holes have been assigned and will be communicated with you in the morning when you check in. Groups will need to set up their own cards on UDisc for round 1.
Round 2 scorecards will appear on your UDisc home screen once they are published. You should also get a notification to your phone if they are turned on.
OB Rules
Creekside- Over any fence. - Creek and beyond on holes 6, 7, 8, 9, 16. Defined by water's edge.- Surrounded by water in the creek on holes 13, 14. - Mandatory left of the marked sign on hole 13. If mando is missed, re-tee with a stroke penalty.
Carter Park- Over any fence.- Mandatory left of the marked tree. If mando is missed, re-tee with a stroke penalty.- Triple Mandatory on hole 5. Short of the mandatory is OB. Any OB drive goes to the drop zone marked at the mouth of the mando. - In the river surrounded by water on holes 10, 12, 14, 16. Please be cautious on the bank retrieving discs. - Water's edge and beyond on hole 18- NOTE: All players will play the temporary short tee on hole 6.
CTP's
Round 2 will feature CTP's on every hole!! Some holes are division specific and some have a twist.
On several holes that have a special CTP requirement, players are allowed to throw an additional drive with the sole purpose of the CTP challenge. This drive may not be used in competition, ONLY for the CTP.
