“Ten weeks of ice. Ten weeks of grit. And now the freeze finally breaks.”
The final round of Frozen Mat-Su arrived with the same thing players had battled all winter — cold fingers, stubborn snow, and chains that never get softer. Ten weeks of frozen rounds came down to one last walk through Alcantra, and the final leaderboard didn’t disappoint.
???? A Tier — Rector Closes the Winter
The final week belonged to Dave Rector, who finished the league with a sharp -7, calmly navigating the frozen fairways to take the last A-tier win of the season.
Close behind him were two of the winter’s most dangerous scorers:
Frank Costales — -6, finishing strong after his huge Week 9 performance.
Justin Foster — -6, the man behind the league’s 1001-rated round earlier in the season.
The rest of the top tier battled hard to close out the winter cycle:
Naz Munoz — -4
Allen Black — -3
Thomas Voight — Even
Kelly Allen — +1
Patrick Phelps — +2
Ten weeks of cold golf proved once again that A-tier is a rotating battlefield — every week a different name stepping into the spotlight.
???? B Tier — Fogelman Finishes on Top
Adam Fogelman stepped up when it mattered most, finishing the finale with a -3 to take the last B-tier win of the Frozen season.
The chase behind him stayed tight:
Christopher Foley — Even, grinding through another steady round.
Scott Foster — Even, right alongside him.
Aaron Richardson — +1, battling through the last icy round.
Alex Strawn — +6, finding Whispering Doakes and winter rough one last time.
???? C Tier — The Long Winter Ends
The final C-tier standings wrapped up another grind through snow and frozen chains:
Jerrin Fabrello — +6
Damian Delgado — +8
Wilson Jennings — +9
Rheannon Fabrello — +15
Winter golf is never about perfect scores — it’s about showing up when it’s cold enough that most people stay home.
????️ Frozen Mat-Su — The Story of the Season
Over 10 weeks, the league saw:
A 1001-rated round from Justin Foster
Multiple -10 and better rounds despite winter conditions
Snow rounds, deep rough, and frozen chains
Players grinding through Alaska winter golf week after week
And most importantly — a community still throwing discs when the rest of the state is staying inside.
❄️ Frozen Mat-Su 2026 is in the books.
The snow will melt eventually…
…but the chains will still be waiting. ⛓️
