It’s actually hole 1. I believe the one you are referring to is hole 5 which is in a short position for this event and is a par 3. Hole 1 we added OB to create an island effect and a do or die shot to the pin rather than just a wide open fairway.

Jack Kramer Feb 27It’s now an island green, think of it as if a river is running perpendicular cutting the fairway in half. Making it a do or die hole to go for the pin off the drive
