Crossovers Frosty Fling/LOCO Winter Showcase - Boone Woods (Baby Boone Returns) 2026

Good afternoon. Thanks for signing up to be part of the Crossover "Frosty Fling" series this week at Boone Woods. This event will be on Sunday, 2/15. This will be a 1 round PDGA C-tier that will shotgun start at 10a.
We will play a special "Baby Boone" 18 hole layout. This layout is "shorter" on all holes than 2. And they are not much longer than normal. The anticipated layout order will be: 1, then walk to 5, back to 2 thru the flagged path, then 2-3, 6-12, 13A, 13B, 14-18. We will have all details in PDGA live.
The following will be the most important details for the event. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions or comments before the event.
All course particulars are in PDGA live. The code will be: boone215
The layout is pretty straightforward with OB being beyond fences, surrounded by pavement, or in the gaming area on hole 18.
Any standing water will be played as casual relief with all the melting snow leftovers. This will probably be on hole 3 more than any of the others with this layout.
We will use the shelter by hole 18 parking lot as tournament central.
The schedule will look like this for the day:
915-950a player check at shelter
10a - Shotgun Start
Awards
Per PDGA you must check in or can be removed prior to the event. All players not checked in by 950a will be removed from the field. Please have enough respect for us as TD's to check in. Thank you for your help with this. There is nothing harder on the TD to scramble trying to figure out if there are enough players on a hole because someone didn't check in.
Cards will be made up with pace of play in mind. Some cards will be mixed based on numbers in divisions. Pace of play is on each card. With a shotgun start and this layout, there is no reason for any card to get more than 2 holes behind. Please keep pace and be conscious about it.
Also, just a reminder, that any junior younger than 13 must have a parent/guardian on their card. There are many juniors now signing up in non-junior divisions, so we don't always catch this beforehand. Please advise and follow the PDGA guidelines on junior players.
All players must keep score using PDGA live or paper card to be turned in.
We are not going to have a players meeting. It is your responsibility to know what's expected for the day and be at your hole for the start of each round. Hole assignments will be posted by 9p Saturday night. However, people drop so I would double check 8a the morning of the event. You can find them here: https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/99784
If you decide that this event is not for you, to receive a refund, you must withdraw by 3p on Saturday for a full refund. In the event you decide to drop, if you play Crossover events, it is actually easier if I just transfer the entry fee to another event, rather than refund, and then you sign up for a different one. Saves us both the DGS/PayPal fees.
Following the round, please give us a few minutes to get everything organized so we can hand out awards and payouts. If you are curious if you are going to get a payout, it is the top 40% per division by the PDGA. That will help you determine if you need/want to stick around. The Open players will receive cash/PayPal, and the AM's merchandise vouchers in the form of Crossover Cash. This can be exchanged for disc golf merchandise that we will have on hand. All vouchers must be used day of event. We will have around 300 discs from several different manufacturers, towels, chalk bags, hats, minis, etc.
For those who are in the ACE fund, if no ACE is hit we will donate it to the Bread of Life in Greensburg, Indiana. The entire Frosty Fling series any ace funds not hit will be donated at the completion of the series. So know that you are paying it forward.
In the event there is a tie for first place in a division, the playoff will start on hole #1 until there is a winner.
This is a PDGA event, so everyone should be up to date on the PDGA's stance on what is legal and what is not legal. Please don't put Cheryl or myself in position to make a call that we don't want to address, or should have to address.

We will be doing a Frosty Fling division points race where each division winner will win an award and get free entry into a future Crossover event in 2026. To win the points standings you must play in at least 3 of the 7 events.
