Most of the bushes in Red Mountain are very thorny. To maximize your safety be sure to stop at Dollar Trees and pick-up a reaching tool for $1.50. This will help keep you from getting your hand poked or worse. The hook style retrievers also work for thorny bush retrieval. I've modified the Dollar Tree reaching tool fingers to also be able to pick up a disc while flat on the ground, great for practicing with multiple discs, especially when putting. I've included a picture so you can make one of these for yourself. It's not hard to modify but if you don't have the means or the time I have made extra.
