UPDATE ON FORMAT FOR SATURDAY.
Like most of us, I have been monitoring the weather forecast for Saturday. For now, the event is on. I know many are concerned about the conditions. I am, too. Here are a few modifications that have been made to the tournament:
1. Optional one-round event. You may choose to play only one round on Saturday. If so, you should modify your division through the event page on Disc Golf Scene. You may choose either MPO (Gold Division teams) or MA1 (all other divisions). Those who choose this option will play the second round of the event only. Tee off will be 60 minutes after the conclusion of the first round. You should plan to monitor the event closely to know when to arrive at the park.
2. Limited OB, no mando, no island. The only out-of-bounds that will be in effect for the event concerns the park boundary, in or on top of any structures or the river. No mando on hole 2, in fact, all teams will play from the drop zone to start the hole.
3. Ribbons and chalk are allowed on all discs. Tee off may take place from the side or behind all pads. Strict three-minute search for lost discs.
4. I will have boxes of hand warmers on site for all attendees. There will be a fire by tournament central at Stable Shelter.
5. We have a significant selection of merch for the raffle. Winners will be drawn for the smaller items like discs during the second round. The drawing for larger and more unique prizes will take place immediately after the conclusion of the second round.
