There are usually some withdrawals to enable people to get in from the waitlist. Last year there were several drops in the week before the event. Even though I have 22 holes, for overall speed of play and flow I need to have slower playing divisions in groups of 3. I also normally try to reserve a couple of spots available for former champions or main event level sponsors to get in late.
i.e. if Scott Smith from Play It Again Sports decides he can play, I will put him in as a huge Festivus supporter for years.
