I wont know anyone at the tournament, so I'd like to introduce myself in advance. To my core, I'm an Ultimate player., but I was introduced to disc golf back in 1980, when I played in my first DG tournament. It was in Swope Park in KC MO. I mostly played competitive ultimate, traveling to play at World's 3 times. Worn out joints forced me to quit Ultimate about 10 years ago and I've retired to DG as I always said I would do.
I find the Condor to be like a cross between a Buzzz and an Ultrastar. I've been throwing them for years and when I discovered the Condor World Championships, I couldn't resist! I own 12 condors from 132g up to 200g. All but one is DX plastic.
I'm a rather unorthodox player. I'm a primarily RHFH thrower with the Forehand Roller being my go to when I need more than 150'. If anyone reading this has experience with throwing rollers at Shady Oaks, I would love to hear from you on your thoughts. From looking at videos of the course, there are a few holes where rollers will not be a viable option, but perhaps there are routes I can't see in the videos.
I plan to 'learn' the course Friday 1/16 around 1pm, if I've peaked any interest in seeing the freak show oddity that is my game.
Look forward to meeting ya'll,
Roller Mike
