Bring Your Best Throws—and Your Silliest Holiday Cheer!
Good evening, disc golf daredevils and generous toy-bringers!
First off, give yourselves a round of applause (or, if you’re holding a disc, a gentle pat on the back) for signing up for the Manic Mando Disc Golf Tournament at Hinson Lake! This isn’t just any tournament—it's a fundraiser with a twist: we’re collecting toys for Midder’s Toy Box. Who’s Midder, you ask? He’s the little legend who inspired a toy drive after he passed away at 18 months old on May 9, 2019. His family decided to launch an epic adventure to spread joy and excitement to kids in the area. So, your toy donations and participation are like sending happiness in disc form to children all around!
Feeling generous? Toy collection and monetary donations can be made at the registration tent—look for the spot where the elves would hang out if they played disc golf.
Important Tournament Intel (Pay Attention or Get Lost—Literally!)
1-Round, FLEX Start Event: You get to sleep in...or not. Just don’t blame us if your alarm clock is the only thing flexing.
UDisc Required: Under Events, select “2025 Manic Mando @ Hinson Lake.” If you pick something else, you’re on your own!
Arrive Early: Please show up at least 15 minutes before your tee time—otherwise, tee times might start late, and there will be more backups than Santa’s sleigh on Christmas Eve.

Course Layout: Welcome to the Mando Madness
Prepare yourselves: this layout is wilder than Rudolph after a double espresso. Mandos are marked with festive Red or Orange arrows. On holes 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 15, you’ll flip a magical wooden nickel (thanks, Carl Sluder / Big Disc Golf Course!) to decide your path. May the odds be ever in your favor.
Hole #1 - Forget the open fairway on this hole. You must choose to take the left or right Mando routes. If Mando is missed go to DZ. No OB on this hole. Merry Christmas!
Hole #2 - This hole may seem easier than the previous because there is no OB and the mando is straight up the gut between the marked trees. If Mando is missed go to DZ.
Hole #3 - Get sneaking with your tee shot on this absurd left route. If Mando is missed go to DZ
Hole #4 - Take a break from the craziness of the previous holes. Enjoy the normal OB on the corner tree. On or Beyond Pathway. Marked by orange whisker markers. If Mando is missed or you land OB go to DZ.
Hole #5 - Muah ha ha ha!! Grab a wooden nickel and flip to determine your Mando route. If Mando is missed go to DZ.
Hole #6 - Who needs a normal wide opened fairway? Mando to the right!! If Mando is missed go to DZ.
Hole #7 - OK. We are back on the fairway to help you return to a level of sanity. Mando to the left of the fairway. If Mando is missed go to DZ.
Hole #8 - Let's keep the fun on track. For now. Double Mando returns to this fairway. If Mando is missed go to DZ.
Hole #9 - Aww man!!! Another coin toss will direct your Mando route. If Mando is missed go to DZ.
Hole #10 - Another coin toss?!!! If you are lucky you will be allowed to take the left Mando route. If Mando is missed go to DZ.
Hole #11 - Left or right Mando? Does it even later at this point in time? Flip another coin to determine your route. If Mando is missed go to DZ. OB Beyond basket. Marked by orange whisker markers.
Hole #12 - Stop the Madness!!! Another coin toss? Just flip the coin and sling some plastic. If Mando is missed go to DZ.
Hole #13 - Are you feeling lucky? Flip to decide you mando route midway down the fairway. If Mando is missed go to DZ.OB in the tall grass on the right side of the fairway.
Hole #14 - No more coins!!! Just a triple Mando to force you to play clean. If your disc hits any hanging branch, you've missed the Mando. If Mando is missed go to DZ.OB in the tall grass on the right side of the fairway.
Hole #15 - We had an extra coin! LOL!! Flip the coin to determine your Mando route. If Mando is missed go to DZ.
Hole #16 - Easy toss down the left had side of the fairway to attempt a birdie. If Mando is missed go to DZ.OB On or Beyond Pathway
Hole #17 - Ho ho ho Suckers!!! Keep your disc to the left of the fat guy. If Mando is missed go to DZ. OB Short and in the creek. Go to Drop Zone.
Hole #18 - Another triple threat is before you. Do you dare to play all the way? That's a tight TRIPLE Mando before you! If Mando is missed go to DZ (under Mando frame.) OB beyond the pathway into the lake. With a stroke penalty, play from location where disc crossed the pathway. Also, the rocks are designated as hazard area marked by orange paint. Hole #19 - The island green is a festive Thank You for participating. Sort of. Land within the ornament and putt for birdie but beware! Land on a yellow circle and add ONE stroke to your score. Land on a red circle and add TWO strokes to your score. Land on the green circle and SUBTRACT FIVE strokes from your score. The RED, YELLOW and GREEN circle penalty/rewards ONLY apply to your tee shot.. Proceed to drop zone with 1-stroke penalty if OB from your tee shot. OB from the drop zone...take a stroke penalty and putt from where your disc went OB.
Drop Zones: Next to the missed mando (except for Hole 19, where you’ll wander over to the normal drop zone after missing the Christmas Island).
The Mulligan – Your Secret Weapon
Mulligans are available, because we know this layout is trickier than untangling Christmas lights in a windstorm. Proceeds from mulligan sales go straight to buying more toys for Midder’s Toy Box, so your missed shots are actually acts of charity!
2 Mulligans for $5.00 (cheap insurance!)
5 Mulligans for $10.00 (even cheaper, if you plan to hit every tree on the course.)
10 Mulligans for $20.00 (Throw your entire bag on each hole!)
Merry Christmas Rule – Shout It or Get Penalized!
If someone on your card sinks a putt from outside the circle, every card mate must yell “MERRY CHRISTMAS!” or risk a one-stroke penalty for being a Grinch. No exceptions—we’re listening.
