There are a lot of logistical challenges in decide on how to split the league. Assigning divisions on your league average may be the best way to go. I originally liked the idea of basing it off PDGA ranking, but that hasn't proven effective. Balance is very important to preserve league integrity. I wouldn't say I've been sandbagging... I moved up from AM4 last year to AM3 this year and I've only been disc golfing for just under two years.
