I just wanted to make a quick post. About half of the registrations so far have requested to be carded with particular players. I just wanted to remind everyone that we let the PDGA tournament manager randomly select cards. Yes, there are times that I need to override some cards for various reasons. I've had a few different groups request each other due to riding together. With being a shotgun start, there is no benefit of being carded together. If this was tee times, that is a different situation. Next, as I have explained to a few players already, I do not arrange cards to put groups of friends/family together, unless it is a situation that needs to be with a guardian/underage player or different scenario. Whether it is an advantage or not, it is does come off as a perceived advantage when a card of friends are paired together for a competitive PDGA event. We do not mix divisions, and try to keep divisions together as much as possible for competitive purposes. I do appreciate that most of the request have said: "if possible".
