Steve, at first I remembered the same thing, but then I remembered the following from my TD training I took from PDGA. Since this is a points series tournament, and the player began the series with their rating below 900, with either PDGA approval, or because the rating changed within the last two weeks, they are eligible to finish the series in the division.
