Yeah I understand that. My partner is 903-rated. My point was I don’t think I could help him compete against two over 900-rated players and the best would be MA3 for us so it’s balances our skills. But since he’s not under 900, we’re not eligible.
I’ve seen some events where they average of the two player’s ratings. But I’ve mostly signed up for co-ed divisions if they offer it. But I’m not sure if I’ll be able to attend anyways and just wanted to ask in case I could make it. ????
