Disc golfers decide things late, not early. Secondly, cashless pre-reg will generate way more sign-ups -- once you fill, then you go to the first 'x' amount paid get in. The Loco tournament is a perfect example -- the one year they insisted on cash pre-reg, way less people signed up. Know your audience -- this is going to attract more of the amateur-type golfers. The serious competitive ones are busy with tournament season, they'll only show interest in a Finale if there's a prize worth having (namely money, possibly something else of value).
