Good morning. Thanks for signing up to be part of the first annual Disc N Dat Bluegrass Masters at Idlewild on Sunday, September 21st.
We are looking to make this event a mainstay in the area, and to build on it next year.
Let's dive into some important details. This is one of our first collaborations for Cheryl and I with DND, and we are hoping for as few hiccups as possible. We appreciate Dan, Chris, and the DND crew for letting us help run and be part of this event.
Registration will be open until 6p tonight. After that we will get things organized and hope to have card/hole assignments by 9p for everyone.
Tomorrow the day will look like this:
Check in at shelter by hole 7 (pro tour 6) - 815-850a
Round 1 shotgun start - 9a
1 hour lunch break from last card
Round 2 shotgun start
Awards/Payouts
As many know, Cheryl and I are big on efficiency and pace of play. Please do your part to keep things moving. It's Idlewild, and even though we are playing a more mild version, please keep up the appropriate pace.
All AM's will receive their player pack when they check in. The players pack is: 2 discs, a hat, and a mini
We will be using PDGA Live for all scoring, and a reminder that everyone needs to keep score now (PDGA live, Udisc or paper copy). The PDGA Live access code is: idlewild921
As far as course particulars go, the following will be in PDGA live. In the event there is a discrepancy, whatever is in PDGA live overrules anything else. Hopefully there are no discrepancies. OB will be pretty much on/over paths/roads/fences, and only surrounded by water in ponds. Each hole will have it described. In the event you land under a bridge, we are playing verticality and you may choose to mark your disc on the bridge if you can obtain legal stance.
Round 1 - Holes 1-16, 23-24
1 - No OB
2 - OB surrounded by water in pond, and playing to the LONG basket
3 - OB surrounded by water in pond (not creek short of basket), and on/over road long. Throw from LONG tee pad
4 - OB on/over road left and long
5 - OB surrounded by water in pond
6 - NO MANDO - OB surrounded by water in pond or on/over road left
7 - OB surrounded by water in pond and/or on/over parking lot/road (not walking trail). Throw from LONG tee pad
8 - No OB. Mando Left. If missed go to short tee pad. Throw from LONG tee pad
9 - OB long on/over road. Not walking path

With doing a shotgun start, make sure you are at your hole by 858a when we will yell "two minutes".
For those in the ACE fund, payouts will be done electronically this year. If an ACE is not hit during the round, we will do a throw off where the closest disc wins the entire ACE fund.
Cards will be made of of primarily 3-4 players. Depending on numbers, we may have to mix some divisions. We will do our best to make sure everyone is with at least 1 person from their division.
In the event there is a tie, we will have the playoff start on HOLE 8 and go until there is a winner playing the ROUND 1 layout.
Following the round, there will be a trophy for all winners of each division. If you are a PRO, your payouts will be sent out to you electronically using the email you registered with thru PayPal. All AMs that receive a payout will be sent an email from DND with you payout to use in store or online.
Since this is a PDGA event, players are expected to know what is legal and what is not, and follow PDGA rules and guidelines. If you have any questions, you can always play a provisional and seek a ruling after the round.
