I'm curious about the being in circle being 1 point. I don't think I have played an "Ace Race" format that had that stipulation. Is this something you have done in the past? Also will the circle be marked on all the baskets? Sep 18

Hey John! Thanks for the questions. We have not done this in the past as this is our first hosted Space Race. We wanted to add some extra scoring options since the score for each hole will be the combined total of both your throws from the tee area for each hole.
Examples:
2 aces = 10 points
Chains + circle 1 = 4 points
Yes, the plan is to have each baskets circle one marked. If this isnt able to be acheived then we will remove the circle 1 scoring day of event.
Since this is our first time running the event, we encourage all feedback on how to make it better year over year!

The one concern I would have is that my shot to ace usually won’t stay in the circle. If I want to maximize my points, I could just throw shots into the circle, but would not have a chance of acing. I could see if you cap the circle points to 1 per hole, then your first shot would to be close, and the second would be to ace.
