Correct. If a player drops, then the next person on the waitlist is promoted to the open spot. Furthermore, if you are still on the waitlist the day of the event, you are welcome to come to the course and if someone no shows, then players on the waitlist get priority to play over walk-ups. Order of the waitlist still applies.
