Hi there, I am just learning there is a 3200 foot purple layout at Eastview, and currently my division (FA50) is assigned purple tees. I thought a modified layout was just for Kelso. Can you please confirm what your plans are for Eastview? Aug 19

The original intention of having the shorter purple tee layouts was primarily for speed of play, as we have to be cognizant of limited daylight hours in October. But as we've been getting more feedback, it's getting more likely that players that I've originally assigned to play the purple tees will simply play the red tees at Eastview & Vic Park, then a slightly shorter layout of the full 18 at Kelso (because some of those holes are just too long).
We will try and give as much advance notice as possible should we decide to change the layout assignments.

Well, I have a whole lot to say about that, but perhaps an offline conversation would be better. What I will say is that this is an A-Tier and a Provincial championship for which people have travelled all over the province to qualify. It should be hard and challenging, and have competitive integrity. There also isn’t time for people to go try and qualify for divisions with appropriate layouts. I truly hope you land on those RED tees, but if not, please make that decision as soon as possible so people can either switch divisions or withdraw if they choose.
