Hey this is our final league round at PC this summer. Sad, I know. Get your Venmo into Dan ASAP and let's show some love to that beautiful course.
Week 6 Recap:
A Pool only had 4 players. Frank took it down easily with his -6. The rest of us totaled -4 added all together. He did most of his damage on the short 9 getting the birdies on holes 1-5. As it did with everyone else, the back 9 was more humbling. Dan and Dave shared second place honors with -3s. Dan got the solo birdies on 8 & 11, Dave got the solo birdie on 15, and Scott was the only one to birdie 10 & 17. So at least we beat Frank at something.
The 6 player B Pool was won by Naz at -2. This was his first week playing B pool after being in A pool the last several weeks. The rating change motivated him and he won B pool by 2 strokes over Rod. Naz was the only one to birdie hole 7. Adam was the only birdie on hole 9. He also got hole 18 for his 2 birdies on the round. Must be his favorite basket.
C Pool was won by Andrew. Might be his first win of the series? Nope this was his second. But regardless, he had a tough battle with himself but he persevered through all the self trash talk and won out easily with his +8.
Holes 4, 12, 13, and 18 were the easiest compared to par and we had 19 birdies and zero bogeys. Holes 14, 10, 15, and 5 were the hardest and we had 4 birdies and 20 bogeys or worse. Yowsers!
Nobody birdied holes 6 or 14. We'll save those for week 8.
No local tourneys this weekend. But I hear Juneau is a fun one to try out. After that is the Fairbanks Open at the end of the month. One more MSDGA tourney, and two more Anchorage tourneys this fall. So keep those in mind and signup if you can.
