If this is club event (Mandatory membership) am nd Non sanctioned It should not have been advertised on UDisc The extra $10 is a money grab
Current registration seems to bear this point out Aug 17

As the TD for the event, I would like to clarify a few points:
The event isn’t listed on uDisc, but it is a good reminder that it should be.
The MRO registration was released on Disc Golf Scene stating that “Mossy Roc is a private course and is only available to current WDGC members, NOMAD members, and/or residents of Sudden Valley. If you are a complete member and aren't sure if your membership is up to date for 2025, check the link here:….”
95%+ of people who have registered for the event have complied with this requirement.
As far as the “money grab” comment goes, the event is not a for profit event. No one associated with the event or the WDGC is being paid or profiting from it. Any profit will be added to the amateur prize pool, pro payout, and/or re-invested in Mossy Roc. I will be happy to share the event budget and actuals after the event if that helps.
Registration seems to generally be in line with last year. In 2024 there were 49 Amateur day participants, we’re currently at 39 with 3 weeks to go. Pro/Masters day is a little more behind, 60 vs 31 so far. All this with us losing out on a lot of last year’s Canadians and event attendance being lower at most 2025 events. So yah, I have some work to do in beating the bushes and getting more folks registered for Sunday. I’d appreciate everyone’s help in sharing the event with your social circle.
LJ, if you or anyone would like some help from me to meet the requirements of the event, you can reach out to me directly at [email redacted] or 858-401-2678 and I will work with you.

Jub, you gotta stop looking for things to complain about. It's an either or option Jub, I did the exact same thing when I ran it last year. Fact is Mossy ain't on public land, because of that there's certain hoops we have to jump thru to make it exist. If you don't like it kick rocks.

Are you really complaining that you need to be a club member to play on the private course operated by the club? I think our budget shows Mossy does not cost too much to operate. Also there are 380 active members in the club in 2025 not less than 100.
Gorgie Zaragoza 31hMy dude, all I ever see you do is bitch on disc golf scene event pages, what's your deal? Who hurt you? Maybe disc golf isn't for you if this is all you do.
