Local league has been playing here. New layout posted on Udisc with (2) new holes and several other hole re-configurations. For the most part favorable reviews by local league players. City still needs to mow back fairways in the wooded sections. Open fairways are really well maintained. As with most courses this year, the weekly rains have made course maintenance difficult. We are hoping by tournament time that it would be in tournament shape.

So far Bearcave has become less and less playable. TD might want to contact city on status of the course, or check with RADGA leadership. Buckthorn sprouts are waist high in most place, wild rhubarb super thick. City has maintained the open areas, but weekly rain seems to have limited work under the canopy. Bearcave has space for alternative layout.

Just played Bear Cave tonight. Open part of the course is really well maintained. Wooded section is a 50/50 and somewhat preferential. H2 LONG teepad is dirt or mud. Original concrete is still in position. H3, H5 green is waist high in C1&C2. H11, H12, H13 fairways are rough and C1 and C2 are waist high. Hole 17 green is elephant leafy in C1. The rough in the woods is rough and waist deep.
