Hey guys, sorry, not a typo. We prioritized ensuring that everyone gets to play Eastview at least once. Our TD team debated about six different course schedule options, and this is what we decided on after weighing all of the pros & cons, while also considering limited daylight hours in October, and the relative skill level of each division. I wouldn't wish this logistical puzzle on anyone.
Michael Lewis Aug 173 pools, 3 courses, 3 days. Was it too easy to just give each pool a different course to play per day?
Colin McDonald Aug 183 different courses in 3 days is not ideal.
Kevin McIntosh Aug 18Hi Michael, most feedback I've received is to avoid three courses, as Colin mentioned. Most prefer to only play two courses in an event.

Why is three courses not ideal? That is why I tried to qualify. Isn't the idea to get as well rounded an experience as possible? I feel like a bunch of us missed the opportunity to provide input to this decision.
Mark Lesiw Aug 20Appreciate all the effort put into running and coordinating. But agree with Michael. 3 days, 3 course seems easiest to coordinate

Hi Mark. While 3 days, 3 courses may be theoretically easier to coordinate, I'll reiterate that most players don't want to have to practice three different courses in preparation for an event, and are more than happy with two courses that complement each other.
Obviously, there are exceptions to this where/when it makes sense, like for Amateur World Championships.
I'll add that it would probably be even easier to coordinate if each pool only played one course each, but I feel like I would get even more flak if we went that route :)

Does seem weird that people would complain about playing more variety. Since less variety is what people seem to want according to organizers, why wouldn't the organize it just one course played 3 times over three days? Answer: Because tournament crew would not hear the end of it. So I don't know. Seems weird.
