Hey all, we're going to be at Kincaid tonight for leagues. So get your Venmo in ASAP if you want to rumble.
Exciting news! Tomorrow will be the first Summer Dubs round at Davis in I think ever? So Davis dubs tomorrow! Scott is spearheading that.
Week 4 Recap:
It was great being back at Davis. League Director James tied League Director Dan for the overall best score and A pool win. Good job League Directors. Black was the only other player below par and took 3rd in A pool.
B Pool was led by one tall Tyler Rus. He took the top spot with his +2. Klein was able to secure second place with +4.
C Pool was won by our visiting Norwegian Maja. She shot +3 and won by 9 strokes over the rest of C pool.
Davis had it's teeth for sure. We aren't at birdie friendly PC or wide open Kincaid. All the holes on the short pads were birdied by at least one person. The long pads gave out mostly bogies, tho 5 of the 9 holes were birdied.
Hole 10 was especially vicious with zero birdies and only 5 pars out of the 14 players. 7 people took bogey and 2 took a double portion. We played that one .79 strokes above par. 15 was .71 above par with zero birdies. But we at least got over 50% of the field able to get par at 8/14. Holes 14 and 11 were the other 2 holes not to pass out any birdies.
On the easier side of things was hole 4 at .36 under par and no bogies or worse. 5 of us took birdie. Hole 12 had the most birdies with 6 and played .21 under par, but handed out 3 bogies.
SOLO BIRDS:
Dan- Hole 5 averaged .57 over par for the field with 1 bird, 7 pars, 4 bogies, and 2 dubs
Dan- Hole 17 averaged .57 over par for the field with 1 bird, 5 pars, 7 bogies, and 1 dub
Andrew- Hole 9 averaged .43 over par for the field with 1 bird, 9 pars, 2 bogies, and 2 dubs
James- Hole 16 averaged .36 over par for the field with 1 bird, 9 pars, 2 bogies, and 2 dubs
Short pads had 23 birdies vs 16 on the long pads. 37 bogey strokes over par on the shorts vs 52 bogey strokes on the longs.
So when we're back next week, get those birdies on the short pads! And hold on for dear life on the longs.
