New Basket’s, Who Dis? - Notes and Info
Thank you for coming out to our Grand Re-Opening of the Showboat Disc Golf Course, and thank you to all of you who donated money and time in the efforts of getting the course this massive update.
We will be meeting in the back of the park this time, and HQ will be near the opening to hole 12. There is plenty of parking back there. Please go to the photos/pictures section here on the tourney page to see a picture I uploaded. The yellow highlighted areas are prime for angle parking. Please check in and pay when you arrive. The side bets of Ace pool and 50/50 will be $5 each. Both will be paid out completely by the end of the day. Smaller bills are appreciated at check in. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase too. More about the raffle below.
WE WILL BE USING UDISC FOR LIVE SCORING. Please log in before hand. There are 2 rounds on there, please be careful and make sure you use the correct one at the correct time.
The first round will be teeing off at 9 am. We will have a 45-60 minute break after round 1. There are plenty of good options for a quick lunch nearby. McDonalds and Taco Bell are at the corner of 57 & 52, Lara’s Market has a Krispy Krunchy Chicken in it, Subway, Little Caesars, Hungry Howies, etc. And if you want food afterwards, Riverfront Grille is a good option just past the stoplight in town.
Please play all boundaries listed on tee signs. Note when something is hazard and something is OB. For those who don’t know, when it is hazard, you play from where your disc is with a stroke penalty. OB means you bring it back in bounds where it last crossed and play from that spot with a stroke penalty.
THE ONLY HOLE I WILL AMEND FOR BOUNDARIES IS HOLE 6. The walking path is not OB or hazard. You may play from the path without penalty. This is the only hole that will be changed.
We will be playing short nine (from the flags), as the river bank is too overgrown and will cause backups. It will be a par 4 on UDisc, please input whatever score you earned.
MPO, you will play long 3. Look for the flags behind the pad. All other divisions, play the regular pad on 3.
After round 2, we will take a moment to sort out scores, payments, ctps, and buy more raffle tickets. At that time, a competition for the berths we have to award will occur. No extra cost. If you haven’t earned one yet, here is your chance. Once that is done, we will hold the raffle, and that will conclude our day.
The raffle is LOADED. Since we went through MVP for our baskets, they have hooked us up with plenty of raffle prizes. We will have a practice basket, a disc station shelving unit, a ton of discs (both mvp and otherwise), apparel, and other goodies. All proceeds will go into the club fund, which means it comes back to you through leagues, tournaments, or course improvements.

$1 = 1 Ticket
$10 = 13 Tickets
$20 = 28 Tickets
$50 = 75 tickets
