Just about perfect weather out there at Kincaid last Tuesday even tho the scores didn't really reflect that. A pool ended with a 3 player tie at -6 each. John had the most birdies, but also the most bogies of the three. DelReal also was the only birdie on hole 10. Killian went bogey free, the only one to do it in the field. And I fell right in-between those in terms of Birdies vs Bogies. But we all got paid a lil cash.
B pool was one by one Mr. Adam Klein -4. He's also did some weedwacking at Davis on hole 8 the previous weekend. Thank you! Big Mike -3 came in 2nd.
C pool was won by Andrew +1, sliding past the elder Haviland by a few strokes.
Hole 4 was the easiest out there with half the field getting the birdie (avg 2.5). Hole 13 was the second kindest with 44% birds and a 2.56 avg. Hole 11 was the hardest with zero birdies and a couple double bogies. Avg 3.5
Holes 15, 2, and 9 also gave out zero 2s on the day.
Shoutout to the younger Haviland for the only birdie on hole 6. He was on my card and I now know the secret to the hole. Throw one of your 8 12 speed discs that you bag as hard as you can through the half dozen trees on the left side of the fairway and getting inside circle. IDK if I can carry that many 12 speeds tho.
Don't forget about DAVIS PARK! Please volunteer some time to weedwack some grass or brush on the fairways. Call a friend and do it with a buddy. Or it can be as simple as carrying a small trash bag and picking up some litter as you play a round. Need everyone to pitch in over there. I'll be adjusting the schedule to get us more Davis rounds now that it's clear of camps and "most" of the trash. Let's stake our claim back on the course and keep the forest dwellers out of there.
