Hello all competitors, staff and volunteers;

I am writing you to formally request to Withdraw from the 2025 Colorado States as your CO-TD.

I have been battling some health issues that have gotten a little more progressive in 2025. After some recent events, I have had to make the very difficult choice to not make the trip into the mountains this weekend as it could cause some unneeded complications.

This may be one of the most difficult choices I have had to make in a long time. I made a commitment to the game and to the Colorado Disc Golf Hall of Fame that I would work with Kyle Harrigan for 5 years to try to make Colorado States the valued A Tier that it deserves to be. I am falling short of that commitment.

As I look down the list of players, I see names of players that I have know for years. New ones that I will now not have a chance to meet. There are people that I have not seen in a long time that I will miss. I will miss sharing laughs, smiles, hugs and the joy of watching players throw plastic at unsuspecting pieces of metal with chains. I will miss sharing the excitement of crowning this years champions

To all of you, I wish the best of luck and joy over the weekend. I will also ask that “if” anything at the event is not exactly how you were hoping, please give the staff some grace as they were not planning to have to step up for me.
