Thank you for registering for CJPS Event #3: Shotgun at OCP!
We are currently offering 3 separate tee times 9:30AM, 1:00PM and 5:20PM. The weather is supposed to be warm and there is a threat of a thunderstorm or 2 later in the day. For those with a 5:20 PM tee time, if possible, we would recommend changing to one of the earlier times. This can be accomplished through discgolfscene or sending us an e-mail.
We are planning on using mostly 3somes which is great for pace of play, but has some TD challenges as you are not permitted to play as twosomes. No shows make it very difficult so PLEASE let us know if you aren’t going to make it! To help us with this…….
2 minutes before your tee time you will either hear 2 blasts of the airhorn---this means all groups are set and in 2 minutes we will start. The start will be 1 air horn blast
OR
2 minutes before you hear 3 blasts of the airhorn which means somewhere we have a 2 person card and those 2 players will be split and forced to join other cards. We will make the hole changes (you can see on PDGA page
https://www.pdga.com/tour/event/90940 and try to send instructions via PDGA live message. The start will be 1 air horn blast and it may be a little bit longer than 2 minutes.
We will have left over water bottles from NJ states in a cooler by hole 1.
Given the different tee times there are no playoffs and a tie is a tie.
If, and only if, thunderstorms end up being probable late in the day we will send an e-mail to 5:20PM players with potential alternatives which could include getting out a little earlier.
The layout is the Green layout with the only exception being hole 17 is being played from the long tee. There are notes in live scoring. We will mark the OB on holes 3 and 18 with lines. Hole 14 has a mando and we will have 2 flags as the drop zone if missed. On all holes regular OB will be played with all roads and across OB.
Ams play for points and pros play for cash (via paypal). Thru 3 events there will be close to $1,400 set for cash payouts. Registration for CJPS4 at The Creamery on Sunday 7/27 will go live on June 19th.
No 2 meter rule.
If you are late or are going to be a no show please let us know at 908-268-2367.
Please check in between 45 minutes to 15 minutes before your tee time at Hole 1. Many players will park away from Hole 1 so this e-mail serves as the player meeting.
Thanks to Frank and the Jersey Shore Disc Golf Club for making this happen and all they do for the disc golf community. PLEASE try and find a little time to help volunteer when asked.
