The players returned to Alcantra for Trial Six—familiar lines, friendly layouts, and just enough openness to lull competitors into a false sense of security.
Birdies were everywhere. Ratings? Not so much.
The Valley gave a gift this week.
But it never gives without taking back.
And next week… it takes them to Peters Creek—where the forest watches.
But first, let’s review what happened in the eye of the storm.
????️ Tier A – Naz Makes Noise, and Kelly Arrives
Naz Munoz (-10) took full advantage of Alcantra’s generosity, leading Tier A with the best round of the week. Clean, confident, and decisive.
Behind him, two names tied at -9:
Morgan Leeds, a consistent shadow in this tier, is now beginning to shine.
And the new arrival to Tier A—Kelly Allen, who came in hot after weeks of domination in Tier B.
Kelly’s promotion was no surprise.
The only question now is—how long until he runs this tier, too?
Behind them:
Thomas Voight (-7), still dangerous, still consistent.
Frank Costales (-6) and Allen Black (-5) kept pace, but Alcantra didn't force mistakes this week.
Next week, in the forest? It will.
⚔️ Tier B – Pat and River Lead the Surge
Patrick Phelps (-8) and River Miller (-8) tied for the top spot in B Tier, both carving Alcantra like seasoned veterans.
Pat’s round may be the one that pushes him into A Tier after the ratings update.
And River? A breakout performance with plenty of trials left to shake up the standings.
Trailing just behind:
Andrew Bozone (-7)
Scott Bowen (-6)
Christopher Foley (-5) and David Griffin (-5)
These five played like a united front—tight scoring, no wasted strokes.
Further back:
Jake Ratliff (-4) and Jeremy Ratliff (-4) held steady.
Robin White (-1) rounds out the group with a respectable finish on a forgiving course.
This tier is becoming the most volatile battlefield in the Valley.
???? Tier C – Gage Mercer's Breakthrough
Gage Mercer (-9) came out swinging this week, blowing open Tier C with a performance that caught everyone off guard.
In a tier that has seen Fogelman dominate through consistency, Gage reset the board.
Selven Christianson (-5) followed with another strong outing, staying firmly in the mix.
Adam Fogelman (+2) stumbled, but after six weeks of leadership, he’s earned some grace.
Jerrin Fabrallo (+5) continues to fight—next week’s trees may suit his style better.
???? Tier D – Carrie Reclaims Control
Carrie Foley (+6) took the win this week, reminding everyone why her name was feared in Chainsmen.
Alcantra may have been easy for others, but she capitalized, plain and simple.
Jaxton Ratliff (+11) and Rheannon Fabrallo (+12) stayed close, but couldn’t catch her this time.
Gwendolyn Hoibokk (+18) fought through it all—still standing, still throwing, still climbing.
???? Next Week: Trial Seven – Welcome to Peters Creek
Peters Creek.
Not in the Valley.
Not on your map.
It’s in the forest.
Some holes have no fairways—just gaps and guesses.
A river runs through the back.
Black bears have been spotted.
And some of the "par threes" play like fours if you're being honest.
This course doesn’t want your birdies.
It wants your confidence.
It wants your rating.
???? The Halfway Point Passes
Six Trials are behind us.
Five remain.
Naz is now a real contender.
Kelly has entered Tier A with momentum.
Pat may join him next month.
Gage has reset Tier C.
Carrie is steadying her crown in Tier D.
But next week? All of that resets in the woods.
The Valley gave you a gift at Alcantra.
Peters Creek is the price.
⛓️ The Trials continue. The forest awaits.
Respect the trees. Fear the water. Survive the Trials.
