Following the PDGA refund policy unfortunately it’s only 100% if there is someone on the waitlist at the time of the request which there was not. “ Players who officially request to withdraw from an event within 14 days of the start of the event and prior to the event’s published closure of registration and waitlist replacements (within one week is recommended) will receive a 100% monetary refund minus up to a $10 handling fee only if their spot in the tournament is filled by a player who is on the waitlist at the time of the withdrawal request.”

Tournament was at 88 when I withdrew… now there are 88 players after I withdrew so it appears someone took my place.. But ok. However you guys wanna put it. That’s fine. I’m not worried about the money. It’s just the principle/rules but no worries.

Michael, if you would read my comment above it comes down to if someone was on the waitlist when you requested a refund. Your refund was processed at 6:05pm with nobody on the waitlist and at 6:15pm another player signed up. If you feel as though the PDGA refund policy is not being applied correctly please reach out to PDGA event staff at https://www.pdga.com/contact/eventsupport so that way our tournament staff can be certain the refund was processed correctly. Considering the tournament filled at 72 and then again at 81 and then again at 88, you could theoretically just keep adding holes so no one who withdraws would get a refund. Not my battle to fight, just a thought.

Michael, I understand your frustrations. Our team is discussing this further.However, when you sign up our refund policies are plain and simple. We are abiding by the pdga rules, regulations and following these guidelines. We added holes to make space for the existing people signed up. We also almost always add holes in all our tournaments to add an extra expirence if the course allows it. This was not done to make it so no one gets full refund. Plenty of people dropped out this week and we followed our policy.
